SEL (Social Emotional Learning) Day Program
On the first and last Sunday of each month, we offer the children a Social Emotional Learning Opportunity. This manifests through Arts & Crafts, Movie Nights, STEM learning activities, Movement or Music Therapy, Writing Activities, Meditation, and much more! Your contributions will help us afford the necessary equipment and supplies to offer these activities. Your donations will also help us continue to provide meals for all of the children during these activities. By supporting this program, you are giving children the opportunities to learn in comfortable supportive environments that they have been deprived of for most of their lives. By supporting this program you are supporting a safe haven for children in Haiti to learn and learn safely.
UP NEXT SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
A lot of our children get sent to live away from their families in orphanages far away from home that promise to pay for free schooling. This goes against our mission to keep children with their families and in school. So our goal is to help provide full-year school tuition, school supplies, books, and meals. You can sponsor a child’s education for the entire year for just $200.
OUR ANNUAL GOAL of $18,500 USD could help us pay for all 92 of our student's school tuition, books, breakfast before school Monday - Friday, and Supper after school Monday - Friday.
Free Healthcare Program
We are providing all of our children with ID cards that will host important health and safety information for each of them. With this card they will be granted free healthcare and treatment from one of our partnered clinics in the Neighborhood. Your contribution to this program will give children access to a General Family Practitioner, Dermatologist, Orthopedic, Psychotherapist, ENT, exams and laboratory, and Pediatrics. Your donations will help to buy medical supplies such as PPE, children's meds, bandages, alcohol, needles, etc. By supporting this program you are encouraging children and their families to seek the proper healthcare when necessary. So many of the children that we work with abandon the idea of seeking treatment when seriously ill or injured because they do not know where to go and they know that they will not be able to afford treatment. Your donations will give them reassurance and peace of mind.
Mentorship Program
You Got Next Mentorship
You Got Next, is our mentorship program that pairs students and orphans with responsible, dedicated mentors. Our mentors communicate with their children on a monthly basis, strategically setting educational and personal goals. Our mentors are not just fun and games, they help the children progress academically, emotionally, and socially with routine evaluations and group sessions. By supporting this program, you are giving children the needed opportunities to learn from and about their feelings. By donating to this program you are assuring to them that they are important and that they deserve to be listened to.
Tutoring Program
In 2022, we want to help our children reach academic excellence. Most of, if not all of the children that we work with lack the access to tutors and extra help with school work. We want to continue to encourage their efforts in school by offering regular group tutoring sessions. This will not only encourage the children, but it will show them that they are not alone. We want to stress the importance of learning, by showing up and offering new fun ways to learn and study. One of our biggest goals here at I Got Next, is to lead a generation of empathetic global citizens with a desire for life long learning! By supporting this program you are reminding the children that we care about their education and higher learning opportunities!
Summer Field Trip Program
Every year we pledge to take our children on a summer field trip. Most of the children that we work with has never seen outside of their neighborhood. We want to offer the opportunity to learn about and explore their homeland. Haiti is so full of beautiful landmarks, history and potential. We want to allow the children to explore the land in a fun educational manner. By supporting this program, you are reinstalling hope in the future of Haiti. With your contributions, we are able to safely plan local excursions and trips over the summer break.
Annual Back 2 School Rally
In 2022 we helped send over 500 children back to school with backpacks and supplies! Next year in 2023, we want to send 700-1,000 children back to school with the necessary supplies. By supporting this program, you are helping to relieve stress for hundreds of families in need. Your contributions will go directly to backpacks, supplies, meals, and an amazing experience for the children returning to school in 2023. Annual Christmas Dinner
In 2021 we helped gift over 250 children over the course of 3 Christmas events. This year we want to do even more! Our children had the opportunity to put up and decorate their very first Christmas tree. After that, we hosted a very intimate Christmas dinner to show our appreciate and love for them. This was a very special moment that we all had the opportunity to live in. Your contribution will go directly to gifting the children during the Christmas season, and providing a full traditional Christmas dinner. Your contribution will help mold moments into unforgettable memories!
